French automaker Renault took to the stage this morning at the Geneva Motor Show with a pair of Gordini models based on its Twingo and Clio. The larger of the two, the Clio, revives the historic Gordini name with a performance package that and styling kit designed to mimic Gordini-badged Renaults of the past.
A Malta Blue paint scheme with two white stripes fits with Renault’s traditional racing coloring scheme, while the front and rear bumpers are modified and include some gloss black touches. To top it all off, Clio Gordini R.S. gets white mirrors and blue- or black-trimmed 17-inch alloy wheels.

To go along with the look, the sportiest Clio receives a lowered and stiffened sport suspension and a modified 200-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder that, according to Renault, has been tuned for a more aggressive growl during acceleration. Interestingly, that’s the same output as the Clio Renaultsport, so it remains to be seen exactly what will happen to Renault’s current Clio hot hatch. Expect 0-62 mph in a bit less than 7 seconds before topping out around 140 mph.
