It's ain't partnership whenn one owns 44% of another. Renault bought big chunk of Nissan. Ergo it is Renault version of world car. Just like Nissan Versa is Renault Megane in Europe and god knows what somewhere else. Selling one car all over the world in a good business, as GM is slowly learning.

Like it, and I just failed to see that Altima you're talking about guys, if it's 2008 Altima! Renault and Nissan borrowed something from their style and tech side to each other after the partnership started in 1999, when Nissan was almost done.

The interior is lovely but the exterior is kinda goofy. that front end does the car no favours. I like the way renaults drive though....sorta comfort based.

I like the nose on this. Actually the whole package is nicely done. Now stoke the engine bay with our Altima's V6 and manual trans and the package would be complete. Autonut's right though: we'll never see this badged as an Altima. Too bad. This would certainly make for a very distinctive trio. In fact, when was the last time anything short of the 3 Series offered a true sedan/ coupe/wagon combo?

Lads, it is Altima! Renault owns 44% of Nissan and Gnosn run both. I second RicardoHead on the wagon and sunshine1810 on diesel. However, I doubt that either one will happen.

Flipper: Isn't that *exactly* what this is? A badge-engineered Altima? At least they don't sell the Altima in Europe...

From the angle that they've shown. The sedan looks exactly like an Altima clone with a different nose
