After officially unveiling the Twingo Gordini R.S. late last year at the Champs Elysées in Paris, Renault unveiled the sporty hot hatch to the media this morning at the Geneva Motor Show.
Named after Amédée Gordini, Renault’s Gordini cars have historically been some of the marque’s sportiest offerings. Amédée Gordini worked closely with Fiat in the 1950s and 60s, developing F1 and LeMans cars, as well as over 200,000 Renault vehicles.

The Twingo Gordini R.S. is easily recognized by its Malte Blue paint job, highlighted by two white racing stripes. Seventeen-inch wheels are standard on the Twingo Gordini R.S., available in either blue or black diamond effect.

The Gordini’s blue and white color scheme is carried over into the Twingo’s interior with blue leather door panel inserts, a blue and black leather steering wheel with white stripes indicating the center position, blue rev counter with white surround and Renault Sport seats with blue and black leather.

The Twingo Gordini R.S. is powered by a 133 horsepower 1.6-liter gas engine, complete with a sport exhaust.

Look for Renault’s Gordini line to go head-to-head with Fiat’s Abarth offerings.
