Wow, just when we thought the USA was wakening up to the rest of the world, we realise that they are still a bunch of ignorant islanders. Those “goombahs” are the Renault F1 team drivers: Nelson Piquet Junior and two-times world champion Fernando Alonso. F1 is the world’s (that’s world as in the real sense of the word by the way, not as in “World Series”) most watched sporting series in the world by the way, and its leading drivers are the highest-paid sportsmen.
