Renault’s latest coupe-roadster model has officially hit the show floor at the 80th Geneva Motor Show. Dubbed the Renault Wind, the innovative two-door is a fresh take on the compact coupe/convertible segment.
At just 12 and a half feet in length, the Renault Wind promises to be a nimble little four-wheeler, making it ideal for busy city streets. Despite its small footprint, the Wind doesn’t feature the typical cutesie styling we’ve come to expect from small coupe/convertible segment, instead featuring an exterior that is modern without being over the top.
What makes the Wind truly unique is its convertible top setup. Unlike a typical hard top convertible, the Wind features a single piece roof that simply flips into a storage area behind the front seats. The conversion from coupe to roadster takes just 12 seconds, and doesn’t take up any additional room in the Wind’s trunk.
Power for the Wind comes from a 1.6L four-cylinder developing 130 horsepower, hooked to a standard five-speed manual transmission.
