There is currently an 18-month waiting list to buy Lamborghini’s latest Aventador LP 700-4 flagship, but one Los Angeles rental firm can get you behind the wheel of Italy’s newest super car by tomorrow – for a price.

Black & White Car Rental has officially taken delivery of an appropriately colored white Aventador with black wheels, and is now offering the car to the general public. But, just as the Aventador isn’t cheap to buy, it isn’t cheap to rent either.

Daily rates for Black & White’s Aventador start at $5,500, with a full week behind the wheel of the ranging bull running $30,000.

Although it’s a stretch to call those rates reasonable, exotic car rentals have gained in popularity with the super rich as a way to drive the world’s most expensive cars without the costs associated with ownership. The Aventador lists from about $375,000, but most dealers are asking at least $50,000 over sticker. Throw in maintenance costs, insurance premiums and depreciation, and a Lamborghini becomes an expensive toy to own for just a few drives per year – even if your bank account ends in several zeros.

For those not quite ready to shell out two-months worth of mortgage payments on a day of fun, Black & White has more modest options like a Porsche Boxster from $195 per day and a Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible from $245 per day. More mundane offerings are also on the menu, like a Toyota Corolla for $34.95 per day.
