I love Audi but they’re stretching it a bit too much with releasing so many new models.

Would make sense to call it A5. It is a 5 door hatchback. Quite logical: A3 in US trim has 3 doors (they call it hatch but it is really a wagon). This thing is a real 5 door hatch.

I’m still amazed at how an A4 with two less doors became an A5 and when they added the two doors back it wasn’t called the A4, that’s one neat magic trick!

Next on the newspeak agenda is to make a hatchback that looks like a saloon and call it a “Trunkback” so that hatchback haters will feel good about themselves when they buy it.

bijomaru – are you kidding me? How can Audi be trying ’something new’ when Benz, BMW, VW, and many others have followed the whole four door coupe thing as well. That is as original as a Special Edition Mustang (how many of those do we have now?)

SR – deep breaths. It isn’t a sedan, but it isn’t truly a coupe. However, it has a sloping roofline like a coupe and since it has 4 doors, it is a 4 door coupe (add 4 door + coupe)

I really wish LLN and everyone else calling SEDANS and FOUR DOOR vehicles “COUPES” would effing STOP!! A COUPE has TWO DOORS and TWO DOORS only, for Christ’s sake! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….
