Two grainy teaser images sparked rumors of a new Bugatti model to debut at this September’s Frankfurt Motor Show – allegedly a four-door coupe called the Bordeaux – but the latest report suggests the Internet rumor mill may have gotten ahead of itself.
According to The Car Connection, the model shown in the teaser shots is a Bugatti concept, but it will not be making an appearance at this year’s Frankfurt show. Instead, Bugatti will show it to prospective clients and dealers to gauge interest.

Bugatti officials haven’t indicated the concept will ever make it to the auto show circuit, but if support is strong, it could see production by 2012.

While exact details on the concept remain scarce, the vehicle is believed to be a four-door named the Bordeaux. The Veyron’s W16 powerplant is tipped to be on board – producing 987 horsepower – providing enough power to scoot the four-door from 0-60 in 3 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 250 mph.
