Previous comment is so true. lol. – Surely a major company like Citroen could come up with an engine of their own – twin turbo V6 or something would be far more appropriate in my opnion, or, if their only making 6 of them source something from the likes of Judd engine developments

i don’t like this car but i think a screaming engine like the 7.3l AMG V12 in the Zonda would fit better with the personality of this car. but maybe Citroen wants to be different than the other exotics with V12s.

I think the 6.4 Hemi can do the job when it comes, the crate engine comes with 540HP, which tops the R8 V10. But the LS7 and the Ford GT500 engine are fine choices aswell. I just prefer the Hemi as I’m a mopar guy, another option is Supercharging the 6.1 Hemi, and it will also be like the old Monteverdi 450 SS with the 426 Hemi.

Am I the only one who’s not surprised that Citroen would ditch their experimental hydrogen fuel cell engine? I thought it might have been impossible to create 500 HP off an fuel cell that could possibly have some practical problems in real life.

They actually said an “American” motor? Good for them, that’s something we should be proud of, them wanting something of ours for a change. The GM’s LS7 or Ford’s 5.4L would be mighty fine under the hood of this French supercar.
