While General Motors and Ford continue to roll out new or updated models, the Chrysler camp remains rather silent about its future vehicle pipeline. We’ve seen hints of life in the form of the next-generation Dodge Durango, but an all-new model could be primed for a Detroit reveal.

According to a Bloomberg report, Chrysler is planning to show an all-new model at next month’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit. But, perhaps more importantly, the new Chrysler model is said to be based off one of Fiat’s Lancia models.

Details remain scarce, but the vehicle in question would be the first Chrysler vehicle to be penned by its new Italian ownership. Fiat is planning to integrate Chrysler and Lancia on a global scale.

At least four Fiat-based models are headed to the U.S., but three of those won’t arrive until at least late 2010. Chrysler is in desperate need of a fresh lineup with its U.S. market share dropping more than 2 points in the last year.
