I’ve driven the 57S and experienced the 62. For high-speed autobahn work, a 62S makes perfect sense, dynamically, as the extra control offered by the new optional suspension settings and chassis tuning lend a further level of ultimate safety. Let there be no doubt though, the only place to be in a 62 is in the back, unless you are driving the family. It’s just unreal and completely over the top for sybaritic comfort. I’ve spoken with a leading Rolls Royce collector, with hundreds of cars, who personally drives his Phantom and considers it one of the finest automobiles he’s ever owned or driven. I’d prefer the back seat.

Time to redesign the Maybach because the lower buck all new Sclass trumps this car in almost all categories. Besides, this car looks too much like the S class from the beginning. They better make the Exelero a four door in order to have a stab at the Phantom.

I know someone with a Maybach 62 and he drives himself, he has no chauffeur. To each his own I guess.
