Veritas finally took the wraps off its radical RS III at the London Salon Privé, but the German automaker won’t stop there as it also has plans for a coupe and SUV. Like the open-air RS III, Veritas’ coupe and SUV models will see an extremely limited production run.
According to Autocar, Veritas is readying a production run of 30 coupes to coincide with the 30 RS III models planned for production. The Veritas coupe will use the same BMW -sourced engines as the RS III, meaning a base model with a 480 horsepower V8 and a range-topper with a 600 horsepower V10.
“The car has been completely redesigned; the only thing the same are the wheels,” Veritas’s Michael Trick told Autocar. “The coupe version will have a sloping rear that runs to the back of the car and it is designed for markets like the Middle East, where they need air conditioning.”
Additionally, Veritas says it has plans to produce a carbon fiber SUV. To make sure the grocery getter is as radical as the RS III, the Veritas SUV will likely be powered by a small aircraft engine.
