REVA – the Indian automaker best known for the G-Wiz electric car – has announced two new models destined for this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. REVA will use the Frankfurt show to unveil a production version of its new NXR electric vehicle as well as the NXG concept.
The NXR (pictured) is a three-door hatchback intended for urban driving. The NXR will feature seating for four and will be available for order at the Frankfurt show. Production of the NXR is scheduled to commence in the early part of 2010.
REVA will also use the Frankfurt show to display a new concept dubbed the NXG. Designed as a two-seat sports car, the NXG will feature a targa style roof and an exterior design penned by Dilip Chhabria of DC Design. A production version of the NXG will bow in early 2011.
Additionally, REVA will display its new REVive technology at the Frankfurt show. REVA didn’t reveal much on its REVive system, saying only the technology “addresses ‘range anxiety’ and acts like an invisible reserve fuel tank. The customer just has to telephone or SMS REVA for an instant remote recharge should they run out of charge.”
