Foster, unless you have tried beating the crap out of a Chevy don’t say it can’t take it. My father, plus the rest of my relatives, have all switched over to a Chevy or GMC product because their Ford or Dodge trucks just don’t last. A friend of mine had a ’99 Ram 2500 Sport which was literally a pure money hole. He drove it like he stole it all the time and the trans and brakes just couldn’t take it. The exhaust muffler even fell off. IT FELL THE FUCK OFF! One of my uncles had a Ford F-250 heavy duty (not sure of the year) that basically shook itself to pieces because of a harsh shifting transmission. My father has (notice for my friend and uncle the keyword is “had” and for my dad it’s “has”) a ’99 GMC Sierra 2500. He regularly exceeds the rated 10,000lb towing limit and the only problem he’s had is a faulty fuel pump. It now has almost 200,000 miles on it with no signs of giving up.
The story MAY be different for the new trucks but I haven’t experienced any so I won’t draw any conclusions.
The new GMC is GORGEOUS! Even the new Dodge HD has me lookin at it. Chevy, get rid of that butt chin for God’s sake. Ford, your trucks look big but just plain weird. They remind me of my friend’s 15-year-old beagle.

After looking at the new 08 ford F- superdutys Chevy will for sure take a back seat again. That new truck from ford is a real work aholic and styling who cares its a truck we are sopposed to be looking at a mean work horse that you cant beat on everyday and it loves you for it. And that is the ford. And good thinkning on the fold down rear tail gate with the step. Not to mention what a great looking inside. Better then chevy but on the outside they bolth look ugly but mean gos to ford.

Ford F450 is still the biggest out there unless Chevy do something about it. But in terms of exterior/interior styling, the Chevy/GMC still looks to much like the old model unlike the brash and bold Ford pickups.

After more review, i think that they look too mainstream, too monotonous/ boring. see the real problem is the 2008 ford superduty is too obnoxiously overstyled, and these are too mundanely understyled. there needs to be something in the middle. …dodge step in here

Doesnt look TOOOO bad, i wish the interior was different from every single other GM product there is though, but at least its a big improvement overall as a truck from the last gen

LOOKS LIKE A FORD FROM THE SIDE FORD FROM THE FRONT AND BACK FROM 100 feet away you cant tell any differance well if you cant beat them join them I guess. Maby they should join togather instead of Nissan

Not a fan of the front bumper, and GM needs to get going with their new Diesel engine. It’ll be very interesting to see how this big dog compares to the Ford and Dodge.

I like the interior much better than the old trucks. It’s about time. The exterior, however, is kind of disappointing. The GMC is good. But the Chevy? It looks like each piece as taped together in a haphazard manner. And what’s with the chrome fish-cheeks on the front of it? Not attractive.

Even though im a Ford truck guy. I have to say they look great. Can’t wait to see what the next generation SS will offer. Will they make a regular cab? Only time will tell

The lower fascia on the Chevy looks disproportioned. The GMC looks much cleaner. And the tiny steering wheel controls and some of the dash knobs are going to be a PIA to use if you have gloves on.

These ARE work trucks right? Hopefully the wallowy steering and mushy brakes don’t make it to these new models.

The regular trucks look OK…this looks down right tacked together. And what is with the Imapala-like dashboard in a work truck? The Ford’s looks way better.

Ford has equal amounts of chrome in its front bumper.
I prefer GM, especially the Sierra.
Can’t stand the SUPER DUTY print in Ford’s front grille.
It should be apparent from the size and length- you don’t need to spell it.
It would be like placing an EXPENSIVE print in Bentley’s front grille.

The bumper (the chrome part) below the headlights looks ridiculous. Very out of place. in fact, the entire front end looks disjointed.

Even though the Ford Super Duty is an absolute BEAST, I prefer the styling…even the headlights. Looks like a mini semi, but not that awful mini.
