Adding credence to the notion that the rich only get richer, Rolls-Royce has announced that strong customer demand across its lineup has fueled record levels of production at its Goodwood, England, production facility.
Rolls-Royce says that it is currently hand-building some 15 Phantom and Ghost vehicles each day, with 300 cars built in the month of June. Rolls Royce says that both of those figures are record numbers since the company’s 2003 launch.
The luxury models are selling so well in fact that Rolls-Royce says that all models are sold out through at least September, with the Phantom saloons sold out through October.
For the month of June sales were up over 400 percent, with year-to-date sales up over 200 percent compared to 2009. The British automaker says that sales were strong in all of its markets, with particularly strong sales in the APAC market, and especially in China.
