Rolls-Royce says that of the 150 examples of its new entry-level Ghost model sold during its first month, nearly 85 percent were delivered to customers who were new to the BMW-owned British luxury brand.
The Ghost went on sale in December after its production model premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show during the fall of 2009, and the marque says that the relatively brisk initial sales are encouraging, especially since most were conquest sales.
“Demand for the Ghost has been exceptional,” the automaker said in a release.
Rolls-Royce sold 1,002 cars last year, most of which were various bespoke derivations of its Phantom line.
