Set to be produced in a batch of 35, the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection celebrates Rolls-Royce's strong connection aviation. Though many know Rolls-Royce's history producing aircraft engines, few know that the company's co-founder was the second man in Britain to obtain a pilot's license in 1903.
Rolls-Royce designed the interior of the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection to have a cockpit like feel, complete with metal accents and a Thommen, aviation-grade clock with blood orange needle tips. Of course there is still plenty of wood and leather, with the latter even covering the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection's floor mats.
The Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection even features the "Rolls-Royce of cup holders", which the British automaker says were designed to "deliver functionality, but with that special combination of theatre and jewelery."
As a nod to Wilbur and Orville Wright, the fathers of flight, the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection comes with an embossed quote in its leather-line glove box from Charles Rolls following his first flight with the Wright brothers: "The power of flight is as a fresh gift from the Creator, the greatest treasure yet given to man."
Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection models are now available for order.
