Following up on its promise last year, the first modern Rolls-Royce showroom in South America has officially been opened in Sao Paulo, Brazil.Â
The 5,400 square foot showroom is located on Av. Cidade Jardim in one of Sao Paulo's most tony districts. Operated by Via Italia Group, the showroom is not far from cross-Britain rival Bentley's dealership that opened about two years ago.Â
Rolls-Royce says that the dealership in Sao Paulo includes its standard Customer Lounge, which includes unique furniture and cabinetry as well as samples of the leather, wood, carpet and other finishing materials that customers can use to custom-tailor their Rolls-Royces before they are assembled.Â
The BMW-owned British automaker's move into Brazil further highlights the region's continued economic growth.Â
“Rolls-Royce continues to expand its business in a number of fast-growing emerging markets and it is therefore appropriate that we have a strong presence in Brazil," the automaker's CEO, Torsten Muller-Otvos, said in a statement released to members of the media.Â
Muller-Otvos stated that there is "increasing demand" for the automaker's products in Brazil.
Previously, the only showroom the automaker operated in Latin America was in Mexico City. By comparison, 33 United States showrooms are listed on its website.Â
