Automobile Magazine reported Friday that there is a high probability Audi will send another variant of its RS4 line to U.S. shores. It won’t be the sports wagon the magazine has been pining for, but instead the RS4 convertible.
The United States is largest convertible market in the world and station wagons — especially their sports variants — don’t sell well here. The car will be powered by the RS4 sedan’s 420hp V8 and will have a starting price of more than $70,000.
The RS4 Convertible features an electro-hydraulic roof that can be operated at up to speeds of 30 km/h. This makes it possible to open or close the roof when out and about in town, for instance, or before parking the car.
