This is a REAL REAL pretty car. I want a LS7 powered convertible.. It Looks like a REAL HIT for mother GM, congrats as it’ll REALLY sell if it ends up looking like the concept that is. It is REALLY too bad they can’t come out with it SOONER though as they are wasting market share money they could have RIGHT NOW if it was out as this looks and performs so much better than the current mustang its light years ahead of it.

Tell ya the truth, Im actually also sick of seeing the Camaro & Challenger concepts in every publication I pick up. The problem is they are creating all this hype, and then at the end people are going to be upset when they find out that the production version doesn’t look like what they’ve been expecting for such a long time. Take the mustang concept. Looked very different IMO when they presented the production car.
Things will change because of requirments & regulations they need to meet, both safety & financial.
Im a huge fan of the new Camaro design, but I just don’t rely much on concepts. I rather wait for the production version before I make my judgement.
The fact is the Camaro concept is still a long wait away and by the time they actually produce it, people will have moved on and grown tired of it already.
I just see this “convertible” as them trying to maintain “hype”.
Just my opinion people.

This model of Camaro appears to well thought out, and the final verdict will be in tis execution and actual showroom floor model to the general public. This will be a winner for GM—if GM can just get it out in time and do it right. I’m backing GM on this one.

Nice enough for a GM product. It’ll have it’s fans. The ragtop model was a no brainer for Chev. You can’t sell a Camaro and not have a convertible option. A few years after it’s introduction, you’ll see SS/RS, Z28, and perhaps even a “Yenko” package available. Just like Mustang’s upcoming Bullitt, Boss302, and ShelbyGT versions. Different stickers to sell more cars. I’m sure Challenger will be no different, and have a ragtop around 2010 or 2011.
