Despite recent and widely reported rumors that GAZ might be interested in bidding for Ford ’s struggling Jaguar unit, a spokesperson for the Russian company told Just-Auto it has no such plans. She said GAZ is only interested in commercial vehicles and powertrains, and has no desire to buy the British marque from Ford. Ford is believed to be mulling the sale of Jaguar, and possibly Land Rover and Aston Martin following an unrelenting slide in sales and profits.
