I love how everyone suddenly realizes Saab has a nice convertible because they made it a turbocharged (like all Saabs) ethanol running car. The car looks like their production car, a nice clean look. Finally, maybe GM will help Saab.

The family farm hasn’t turned a profit in damn near 10 years and we grow corn, soy beans, and wheat. I think this is a great deal that we’re going more to ethanol gas, and sooner or later it will be a good clean viable source of fuel. We – you too – wrote a $180 Billion farm bill in 2002 to prop up those poor folks Willie Nelson sings for. They just didn’t tell you – you with the interest-only home loan and 60mo car payments – these poor farmers are already worth nearly $1Mil on average. …and these same farmers don’t use methanol themselves; it’s not profitable to run it; even using our money. If you’re going to ask me to pay the bill (and look the other way) for your water to grow rice and lettuce in the desert, you could at least pretend you believe the same story you’re selling me on this corn s_it. I am sick of it. Ethanol is a clean ALTERNATIVE to petrol. With the current way of production there might not be enough to power all vehicles with it, but wait a few years for Ethanol to pick up and there will be improved and more efficient means of production for it, making it a VIABLE alternative.
