Popular tuner Saleen is open to working with automakers other than Ford , founder Steve Saleen told Ward’s Auto. “It has to make business sense and fit in with our philosophy and appropriate branding, but we’re looking at other opportunities and only time will tell,” he said. Saleen also commented on Ford’s financial troubles. “Ford is not causing us problems, but its problems are something we’re watching closely,” he said. Saleen didn’t elaborate on any future products from other automakers, but there is some speculation the tuner may offer a customized version of the 2009 Chevy Camaro. In late May, images leaked online of a customized 2009 Camaro that will star in the forthcoming “Transformers” movie. The car had a Saleen license plate.
