The Chrysler Group today reported total sales of 185,946 passenger vehicles in the U.S. for June 2006, a 15 percent decrease compared to June 2005. Chrysler Group, which consists of the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge
brands, posted sales of 185,946 vehicles in the U.S., a decrease of 15
percent. Meanwhile, Mercedes reported its highest June on record with sales of 20,802 new vehicles, an increase of 14 percent over last June. The increased volume was due mostly to sales of the new S-Class, GL-Class, and R-Class. C-Class sales were down slightly, while CLK-, CLS-, and M-Class sales were down significantly. [data sheet]

CLS sales are down “significantly”? Man, when they first came out I was amazed at how quickly I was seeing them all over the place. I guess everybody who wanted one rushed out and bought it as soon as it came out.
