The bodykit is not to good, but for 300hp i’ll settle.^^^Saturn is GM too and the Sky is virtually the Solstice. the GXP puts out around 300hp and is fairly easy to mod just letting you know, they ain’t doin so bad in that aspect

Bye bye Pontiac. If Saturn trumps your “performance” division, then its time to hang it up. What a shame and a pity. BMW should acquire Pontiac and deliver the performace that never materialized while at GM.

I don’t care for the front and all the red on the seats but I can see some people being very interested in it. Tires are too fat too, need to be lower profile.

- The front looks unfinished – they need to fill in the front air-dam openings with some mesh or strats so the mechanical bits behind aren’t so exposed. The first time a small rock hits that intercooler, you’ll probably lose a good bit of boost and HP.
- Red is not this car’s best color. White, silver or another metallic are best. Save the primary colors for its Pontiac twin.
- Stickers? I’ve got one on my car too. It says “If you keep tailgating me, I’ll flick a booger on your windshield”. That’s probably more effective than the ‘advertiser’s row’ on this thing’s door-line.

I wonder how they blended the colors from the Red bodywork and the Gray humps…

And the effort here reminds me WAY too much of the Fiero when they went with the GT trim. I liked the base cars looks better than the tacked on ground effects.

I’m with you guys—I like the stock, factory version a lot better. The only part of this I like are the wheels, sort of. But they’re not necessarily an improvement over the stock wheels. GM really nailed it with the styling of the Sky; I think it’d be hard to improve on it.

There is an old saying: “Gilding the lily”, which means adding something more to something that is already perfect. This (and most “tuner” cars), strike me as a perfect example of gilding the lily.

^ Well i agree the untouched exterior is much better looking than any of the supped up versions, but I do think there is alot of other things going for these cars. Just like the Solstice GXP, I like the base look much better than ground effects and add on pieces. Ground effects are pretty 80’s in my opinion. I always think of the 80’s style sled camaro with the add-ons that body had.

Mossler actually has a kit for these cars that includes a shoehorned V-8. They crammed an LS1 V-8, added front struts, and larger discs up front. The total price is still less than a base Vette and it performs as well as a convertible Vette. Not a bad alternative!

Has anyone seen the “Nomad” concept they unveiled a couple of years ago? It’s a wagon version of this car (or the Solstice). The nose looks like a late-50’s Vette. Why don’t they cram a normally-aspirated small block V-8 in one? I gotta think this chick car could garner some real interest-

the outside of the sky does NOT need to be touched.

you can improve the interior, you can improve what’s under the hood, but do NOT touch the exterior styling.

Yo Gravana, GM actually designed a better looking front end than that hideous rice looking monster you’ve created. Jesus, leave those clean lines alone.

While 300bhp is nice, I’ll bet it doesn’t make the car that much faster than the Red Line.
