Autonut- Like I said, I could honestly care less of someone was using my name.

What I do care about however, is when every page is filled with them, and once you type in something they use your nickname to give the opposite opinion. It’s not conversation and it’s under my name, the opposite of what I’m here for, simple as that.

Style of Saturn’s never grabbed me either. The new ones have had a lot of hype, and although their nice, I really don’t see how the Aura is great looking. I think the new Malibu, and even the Camry (which has come along ways, but is still extremely conservative) has a lot more attitude.

ATTENTION EVERYONE. As of todau 3/26/08 I will no longer be posting comments on here due to the lack of maturity, and problems of whoever is using our LLN handles and trying to impersonate me and anyone else, and therefore causing problems.

On the subject of “no haggle” policy, it is just policy. Dealer can not sell car for less then some cost per his contract with GM but no one buys “strippers” so options are included into the price. I was told that by former colleague, i never owned Saturn (style did not grab me).

See the recent Alfa Romeo post, notice how the person is blotching other peoples’ handles “Ricardo Head” how it’s properly spelled, is spelled “RicardoHead”, and don’t click on the hyperlink because it directs you to a gay porn sight (I made that mistake while investigating it) Blakkarr was spelled Blakkar, and “jayjco08″ was misspelled jjayjco08, or Fairlight Racing who was spelled FarilightRacing. Americanmade- It’s not me. You’ll also notice strange comments with a lot of others accounts. What some user is doing is changing their “nickname” which in turn changes their display name on here.

I’d ignore it, but if it continues, I’ll just stop visiting LLN. Yes, it is becoming that bad, every new article the first 5 posts are from some 3rd grader, I don’t need to worry about my name being “tarnished” as it’s just a display name, but you can’t have a great conversation with it going on. Other boards will be more concerned about their readers, simple as that.

You’ll also notice they’re almost all posted after 3:30. About the standard time most kids get out of school.

I’m wondering who is more likely to benefit from this arrangement…. Call me a skeptic, but probably the dealer.

I firmly believe that every car consumer will get screwed coming out of a dealer, no matter how well they educate themselves (of course the Internet can lessen the “screwing”).

But, sometimes, the only leverage a consumer has is starting to walk away from a deal. That’s usually when the APR drops a few points, or the final grand is knocked off the sticker. Point-and-click internet transactions might delay negotiations and remove the dealer from the thrill of the sale. If a negotiation turns sour on-line, the dealer may not care too much, because, with no human contact in the transaction, it may seem like there was nothing lost–just another pointless query through the Web…. and the car is still on the lot to sell to the next guy walking through the dealer’s doors.

Lol Yeah! now instead of having to deal with the pressurring salepeople I can just go and look at what I want, click, negotiate, trade-in and buy. And then the only thing you’ll have to do at the dealership is maybe sign some paperwork pick up the keys and drive home, All Saturn needs to do now is arrange to have the car dropped off at your doorstep. (Avis rental cars does it) Hey If you can buy car insurance on the internet and everything else why not a brand new car straight from your local dealer ship? Now I don’t plan on buying a Saturn any time soon (unless it was a Sky Redline) so I guess I won’t be using this feature.

I think this is a great idea. Replace dealerships with outlets. Get your test drive, buy some merchandise, and do you maintenance there. No more having to deal with salesmen to get to that shiny new car.
Everytime I buy a new car, I always decide on the car first and then go to two or three competing dealerships for prices. It’s amazing how much the price can vary between two dealerships. Given so much info is already available on the Internet, it’s amazing people continue to get screwed.
