The Red Line is a high-performance variant of Saturn's new Vue crossover, which is based on the Opel Antara sold in Europe. First introduced for the 2008 model year, the performance-tuned Red Line builds on the new Vue's new styling with an aggressive front-end design, including a large, lower air opening and projector beam fog lamps.
The tail end of the Red Line features an aggressive rear apron, spoiler and chrome trapezoid exhaust tips. Lowered suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and Red Line badges further underline the vehicle's performance roots.
The crossover comes with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring tap up/tap down manual gear control. The Vue's chassis has been tuned for better handling and a firmer feel. It is powered by a dual overhead cam 3.6L V-6 VVT engine that delivers 257 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 248 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,100 rpm. The Vue Red Line is offered in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive iterations.
Interior enhancements include a black interior with leather sport seats, red stitching, and perforated suede fabric inserts. The vehicle also features unique Red Line instrument cluster graphics and embroidered floor mats.
