Cars that are able to parallel-park themselves are coming to the United States, according to a Local 6 News report. Toyota told the news channel that the technology, current available on the Prius in Britain, will arrive in the U.S. “soon.” The auto-parking feature — shown in this video — will cost about $700 as an option. In February, we brought you a video of BMW’s new self-parking system, that will enter production soon.

While I’m not sure that either Toyota’s or BMW’s self-parking systems have a sexual preference, I agree with #1. I personally have no problem with parallel parking most of the time, but I know it’s difficult for a lot of people, and sometimes for me. Perhaps what would be nice is something to inform you whether or not your car is able to fit in a parking spot in question.

These wouldn’t work on a manual vehicle, right? Then I probably won’t use one for many years.
