What a great car for the environment. Thank god, a great company like Toyota cares about the future. Too bad that garbage motors produce crappy products that fall apart around you. I lol at all those pos gm products I see broken down on the side of the road.

Too bad most people in this country don’t have any faith in GM to think that the Volt will even come near as close as beating the Prius in terms of sales and popularity (except for the fact that most people think hybrids are absolute shit, but that’s besides the point).

Keep up the pointless hype about the Volt. If it doesn’t break any new grounds or create any new trends, then it will be a massive disappointment.

@ Need more oil for GM – Fact is while the Prius is one of the BEST SELLING models in America, something GM will never achieve even if Jesus himself was paid to promote their cars, will the POS Volt beat the Prius? Nope. Be lucky the Volt will survive 3 years in the market before it joins GMs failed list next to the EV1 and Pontiac Aztek.

The 1st gen Insight wheel covers reduced drag significantly. Why they have 19″ on the this pruis, not sure…

I don’t understand the thinking behind the wheel covers and the body kit. Wheel covers reduce drag on bicycles, but bicycle brakes are outside the covers, and the brakes on a bike won’t ever get hot enough to have problems. I think this would cause excessive brake heat, even with it being a Prius. Also, the body kit may look decent, but isn’t it defeating the purpose of the wheel covers by creating more drag?

It does look much better than the stock Prius. I can’t believe I just referred to a Prius as “stock”…
