Most car enthusiasts started their automotive passion with Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, but few of us have ever been able to imagine a full-size truck inspired by our childhood toys.
But Ford was happy to oblige at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. Starting with a standard Ford F-Series Super Duty truck, the automaker and Superlift collaborated on an off-road-oriented mega truck thanks to a huge 10-inch lift and 41-inch tires.
From there, the truck gained a special Oh-So-Orange PPG paint scheme and a tube exoskeleton fabbed by Jamie Morganthall’s Custom Creations. General Fire Equipment made our Matchbox fire truck fantasies come even more true thanks to a fire-fighting bed and Code 3 supplied emergency lights and a siren.
Although it’s too big for any toy box, the Matchbox Brush Truck was certainly a SEMA show-stopper in the land of excess.
