On the heels of the Viper-powered Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept released earlier this morning, Chrysler has released details of six additional SEMA show vehicles that will be officially unveiled at the industry-only event early next month in Las Vegas. Two are based on the Dodge Challenger and four are based on the all-new Dodge Ram pickup.
The Dodge Challenger Blacktop started as a Challenger R/T and adds custom spoilers, paint, a Mopar coil-over suspension and strut tower brace and 22 inch Dodge Viper wheels from Factory Reproductions. A handful of Mopar upgrades under the hood bump performance by an unspecified degree: A cat-back exhaust and cold air intake. The interior features bright red Katzkin leather and a Mopar/Kicker audio system.
The Dodge Challenger Targa comes with a competition pedigree: It raced in the Targa Newfoundland earlier this year. Based on the Challenger drag race package from Mopar, it gets unique snakeskin green paint, a Mopar chin spoiler, Stop-Tech brakes, and a KW-developed racing suspension from the Dodge Viper ACR. Underhood, the Challenger Targa has a 392 Hemi V8 crate motor that puts out 540 horsepower and 490 lb-ft. of torque. It mates to a six-speed Tremec manual.
The four Dodge Ram concepts each take a unique approach to the new pickup.
The Ram TRXtreme starts life as a TRX-4 quad cab off-road truck and gets a Mopar lift kit for 4.5 additional inches of clearance. BFGoodrich 37-inch tires wrap polished and forged Mopar 20-inch wheels. Feature upgrades include Mopar wheel flares, a Mopar tube step, Mopar telescoping mirrors and a one-off steel hood with cooling louvers. A Mopar dual exhaust is the only mechanical upgrade.
The Ram Sportsman, designed for hunters, features a “blowing leaves” camouflage paint scheme, a two inch lift, 20-inch Mopar wheels and 33-inch tires. The interior shows off perforated leather seats by Katzkin and an ambient lighting system.
The Ram R/T potentially previews a production Ram R/T. It starts life as a Ram Sport with a 380-horsepower 5.7 liter Hemi V8, a 4.10 gear and a high stall converter. It also features some Mopar Performance upgrades: A cold air intake and dual exhaust. The hood is a Mopar dual-snorkel aluminum hood with carbon fiber accent stripes. A concept Mopar Air Suspension Kit drops the body a bit and a unique bodykit adds to the look. The Ram R/T rolls on 22 inch Alcoa/Mopar alloy wheels.
Finally, the Ram Mopar Street Package also includes the body kit with sill extensions and features a small body drop with leveling kit. Like the R/T, it also features the dual-snorkel aluminum hood. Inside, it gets suede trim, and a high-zoot audio system.

Hey LeftLane, I think you got the pictures backwards for the Challengers.
You have the Blacktop drawing marked as the Targa, and the Targa pictures marked as the Blacktop.

So the green is actually the blacktop, or they already switched the name… When I think of targa I think of how Porsche has it: a coupe-wagon.

Hehe the blacktop reminded me of DM Multimedia’s Capri Concept from 2006:

Bearing in mind the Ford Capri is a Brit Ford and is nothing like a challenger, but still… reminded me :$
