They've been doing what they've always done, having a relatively small fleet with good fuel economy. No V8 for gods sake, what a great position to be in. Others are going to have a hell of a time trying to compensate for gas prices that went from 87cents in '98 to the $4 and rising of '08. I truely feel bad for the American auto industry, they can't change fast enough. And say what you will about their "junk" cars, big thirsty trucks, but they sold a few years back, and who could've seen this coming.
