Czech automaker Skoda took to the stage earlier today in Geneva to unveil the Fabia Scout. Essentially a rugged-ized version of its Fabia supermini, the Fabia Scout features unique styling inside and out and is powered by four choices of gasoline and diesel engines.
The Fabia Scout follows Skoda’s other Scout offerings with a matte-finish lower body, silver roof rails and a unique set of wheels. Inside, the Fabia Scout gets stainless steel surfaces and thick rubber floormats, adding to its mildly rugged style.

Fabia Scouts will be powered by either a pair of diesel or a pair of gasoline powertrains. The diesels, likely to be the most popular choices, include a 1.4-liter, 80-horsepower four-cylinder (capable of 61.4 mpg in the combined cycle) or a 1.9-liter, 105-horsepower four that averages 57.7 mpg in the combined cycle.

Gas Fabia Scouts come with either a 1.4-liter 85-horse or 1.6-liter, 105-horse four-cylinder.
