Skoda cars are generally built on the same platform as the veedubs but have their own sheetmetal, interiors, and etc. are sold generally in Eastern Europe. Mercury's are fancier Fords with a different badge. There is a big difference. And I think they did an awesome job integrating the grille and the headlights up front. Looks terrific.
