Following the launch of the SLK 55 AMG Black Series, Mercedes is planning to roll out another special edition model called the CLK 63 AMG Black Series. The car is believed to have a 530 horsepower engine — which is 50 hp more than the regular CLK 63. It also has ultra-wide fenders, adjustable AMG suspension, and composite brakes. Beautiful should have looked like this in the first place. Could do with a grill and badge like the sedans where the logo stick up like they did with the last generation.

Get rid of those side vents they stick out like a sore thumb with the silver paint. Other than that this car is really good looking, I wish they would keep the headlight design they have on this one on all of their Mercedes, it was very unique. Instead they have to put Camry like headlights on

AMG should have taken the CLK DTM that they made a couple of years ago and put the 6.3 into that. The design of that car was awesome! — although the pricing of that car was almost up in Ferrari 360 / F430 territory, and they only made 100 of them.

I think it’s far from beautiful – there is too much going on and too many incongruous lines make for the dreaded bolt-on tuner look. Any Honda looking like that would be bashed so I’m not sure why Merc gets away with it.

The SLK55 Black Version costs almost DOUBLE the regular SLK55 so this likely will cost double too but at least this car seems much diffrentiated from the base CLK63 whereas the SLK Black Series looks almost identical to the non-Black version.
For what they’re going to charge for this thing, I agree with Dr Manhatten that it should look and be exactly like the 275k CLK-DTM they created last year which looked similar to his version but was truly a Race Car underneath. (I believe the CLK-DTM was homologation simply to make it Eligible to race in that series as those series require the entered vehicle to be offered in a street-legal version to the public with a quantity of at least 25 units).

A non E mussssss — This is not a GM fan site. It just happens to have a lot of GM fans on it. I heard about this site from a guy who is a GM freak.
It is an “enthusiast site”.

you dumbass they dont need to homologate models for the DTM! DTM cars are full tube chassis race cars the only thing in common with the manufacturers models is the roof panel and lights i belive wich much be from the series car (i.e. the A4 and C-Class) the rest of the panels are just a carbon skin there to appear somewhat like the series car.
Be nice if they did have to tho – a 1060 kg, 460 hp 4 litre v8 10000 rpm, ultra wide monster – hard to park.
so yea, complete **** Asher the clk-dtm was more ‘homage’ than ‘homologation’

Gotta love how Mercedes is copying the styling from the Audi RS4 and RS6 on their fenders, rear valance and Front bumper side air slots.
Yet, I do like Mercedes but I will never buy one for the simple fact I HATE that most of their AMG vehicles are Automatics…WHY GOD WHY!!!

Looks a bit like a Lorinser job. I guess with every sale making a difference in today’s ultra competitive market, the manufacturer (MB in this case) is gonna ship aftermarket-like graft jobs straight from the factory itself. Makes sense. Ten CLK black 63’s= $ 1 million. Not even a $100 billion company’s gonna sneeze at that. That said, the wide flares look good. Now just add a 6-speed stick and a lot of Americans would think about llining up- especially those of us who live in the Californian hills.
