maserati platform? let’s hope it has the same handling as the quattroporte, that car is amazing! i don’t think alfa is that happy to get to usa again, they say they’re still bruised from the 164 flop…next year i’ll trade my aging s60r for an 159 (i hope)!

Yeah I was on that one too. I’m not for an MR Vette. However, Gm admits the Corvette is strong enough to stand on its own as a brand, so some super sports division may not be out of the question. Sorry to be off subject but it was prompted by the concept art of the Alfa Romeo.

Using the Chevy SS as the basis for a Corvette sedan would be very cool.. and why not. Porsche is working no a sedan of their own. GM might take that challenge very seriously… though not right away.

they also hinted that the corvette reputation could be its own brand, imagine that backlash (rednecks would riotwithout it being a chevy). GM should release concept schetches of what a sedan/mr would look like.did you eversee the c3 limos and even the c3 wagon,

It could be interesting, but did you read the bit about the Vette going MR possibly, and the backlash they received about that. I couldn’t even begin to fathom the kind of negative response a sedan would receive.

I just wish Gm would revisit the SS and maybe build it. Maybe as a (don’t get mad) Corvette sedan…

Back to the point. I doubt most of us will ever get to buy one but the regular cars coming should be more interesting in the long run than yet another “rich-boy toy”.

haha yeah thanks lambo, i wasn’t trying to start a fight. I just encourage comments that are at least ’somewhat’ well thought. thanks to bb_454 for not retaliating with something gmnumber1 would say. I agree that LLN is an automotive enthousiasts caffeine dose for the day and it shouldn’t be hampered with scuffling like a strangers’ popcorn fart at your starbucks.

lol Yes I do read the articles, I have a tendency to gloss over some things though. My point wasn’t that they used a camera phone, it was just the poor quality of the image, I cant see how your supposed to make out any details on that photo, especially once its been enlarged. But I do need to focus more on what I’m reading.

The artist illustration gave me a very Chevy SS concept vibe. The pictures suck, looks like someone tooke them with their cell phone than blew them up to twice their actuall size.
