They really emphasized the truck-like look of the front end. And everyone really needs a Hemi-powered station wagon. I guess its better than a Hemi-powered minivan.

Piablo—0-60 in five seconds flat is seriously quick. You’re either lucky enough to drive something that’s even faster than that so you’re jaded, or you don’t understand how quick that is. And remember—this is, essentially, a station wagon, not a Viper.

And have you ever driven a Chrysler with a Hemi in it? It is a seriously sporty engine that revs really quickly, and sounds great doing it. I’d have one if I wasn’t too cheap to pay for the gas it drinks.

Sorry, but I like the old headlamps better, they give the magnum a meaner look. Yes it is a SRT8, make it look mean, don’t make it look like a sissy station wagon. It needs to shout “don’t mess with me” know what I mean? I like the Magnum, always did, I like the high hood along with the 300C. but they should keep those headlights that look like angry eyes…..lmao

Scott kempton, 5 seconds is not slow, but for a 6.1 liter V8 “Hemi” with 420hp, I wouldn’t say it’s fast either. The Magnum is a porker of a vehicle at 4000lbs. Now let me put this into perspective. I drive an Offroad XTerra with a 6 speed manual, and a V6 that puts out 260hp. My truck gets to 60 in 7 seconds and it weighs 400lbs more. I would like to think that 2 more cylinders, 2 extra liters in displacement, 160 more horsepower, that my truck would actually be in the 4’s. Apples to oranges, I know. But considering what that Magnum has under the hood, it should be quite a bit faster.

With regards to engineering, all of that power comes at a huge gas hogging cost. There are equally powerful engines out there getting much better milage. The Magnum itself weighs as much as an SUV without being an SUV. Could you imagine how much it would weigh with 4WD? I have driven a few Chryslers: Pacifica, 300C, and a Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 liter. I liked them, not bad vehicles at all. I just felt they were porky and could really benefit from going on weight watchers.

Butch, indeed. I guess we can assume that the rest of the Magnum family will receive the fron-end makeover as well.

obsessedwithautos is right, this is a relatively boring truckish design, the thing is to me, it looks like the front end of a sedan, like as if the front end of a extra butch sedan was grafted onto the body of a wagon, it looks awkward to me

You rarely see projector headlights looking bad on a car..this is one of those rare cases.

umm is this facelift only for the SRT-8 or for the whole model line, and is just being demo’ed on the SRT to make people feel its less ugly cause of the 6.1?

I thought gay guys wanted Hybrid Toyotas and Hondas? Didnt know they liked going fast. GMrules, why would you want to see Chrysler go away? Its one of the few domestics left (half domestic), look around on this site and you wont find too many domestic fans on here, I think Im one of the few, we need GM, Ford and Chryselr to stick around. I would rather Toyota go away, atleast I like some of Chryslers designs and their willing to take risks.

I like the looks of the Magnum more, what does the Audi cost? SRT’s are pretty damn expensive, I know the Chargers are going for like $46k here, we dont have any SRT Magnums.
