Come on..stop and think before you comment. This is a spy photo..of a car not even in production yet. The interior bits are preproduction and are in there for fit not finish. They dont let test mules out in the public that are 100% complete..if anyone has ever sat in a Benz you would know what an interior should look and feel like...light years ahead of BMW and their faux rubber dash. Give them the benefit of the doubt and wait to pass judgement till you see the show car version.

I'm not impressed with this next generation C-Class sedan. It looks too similar to the current model. It should have inherited the fender flares from the S-Class/RX-8 to give it a sportier stance. The upswept headlights should have been scrapped in favor of those seen on the new CLS or S-Class. Quite frankly, by the time this model launched here, there will be more captivating models on the market like the new CTS and G35. Competitors with strong products may, and probably will, make it harder for the little C-Class to establish a presence in today's luxury compact market.

That looks like production interior to me. The pic sucks but it definitely looks like the spy pics we saw 6+ months ago. I have a C230 and this interior is an upgrade of the current "aluminum" interior. Perhaps the "wood" version will be nicer.

It's got merc's new head & taillight treatment. Shame about the inrerior, though. If I didn't know better I'd say the interior was something a koren carmaker tried copy off a bmw.

Looks like a shrunken S class period. Nothing much to get excited about unlike the next gen-CTS which will be refreshingly different from today's model.

I agree with those of you who say the final production interior will look much better.

And the bonus! No iDrive/MMI type interface!

Cole, I sure hope you're right, because if that's what the interior does look like for real then that car has a problem. It's nothing but black plastic inside, including the entire dash. Yuck.

a) the interior will look better when the car is released
b) the picture is probably making it a lot harder to see the interior properly
c) obviously mb isn't going to take the 2007 c-class in to showrooms with he interior looking like a first-gen cts

that interior is terrible. Looks like they lifted it straight out of the previous generation CTS, and nowhere near as nice as the A4 or 3-Series.

AHHHHHH! What did they do!!!
I hate the new front, it looks more like a Camry I liked the older MB two piece headlights they were fairly unique to the brand.
Also the grills somewhat angular look does not flow with the very round headlights.
Now it looks like a Camry in the front with an overgrown price figure!
Ehh the interior is not competitive with the A4, 3 series, etc. It's very bland looks like something Chrysler used just can't place name on it.
THEY'VE GONE MAD WITH THE NEW FRONT DESIGN OVERGROWN OVERPRICED CAMRY! It's more conservative, less elegant and less aggressive than the last front design, which wasn't aggressive in the first place. It no longer looks UNIQUE.
We don't need more cars that look similar to each other, we need HIGH QUALITY, UNIQUE DESIGNS WITH CUTTING EDGE INTERIORS, PERFORMANCE AND TECHNOLOGY!!!
