Spied: 2008 Volvo S40 facelift

02/11/2007, 4:19 PM

By admin

Photographers have spotted the 2008 Volvo S40 in testing with almost no camouflage. The new version of the S40 appears to feature a more profiled nose along with a modified lower front bumper. The skirts around the front and side of the car, camouflaged in these images, are likely to receive modifications for the 2008 model year. The taillights also have received minor changes. Gallery after the jump….

didnt u hear or read about it? S40 is growing in size to replace the S60 for next gen. There will be a smaller Volvo below S40.

This is a nice update before the major redesign in couple of years. The black strips under the headlamps are FAKE, per World Car Fans website. They explained it.

I think it has looked great so far, Im happy to see that Volvo makes only tiny design refreshmants, instead of big changes that would disturb simple elegancy of the car

Are they still going to copy BMW’s styling?

they made the grille smaller, which, in my opinion takes away the aggressive look of the car, i personally own a 05 s40 the first year with the redesign and i would never change that look…do like porche did, dont change the s40’s design

The comment above about coping BMW styling makes me lough. Some just lack visual perception.

tristanw — They have been ripping off BMW for years. S40, S80, especially the XC90. They even put the Hoffmeister kink in the rear passenger door windows.

Visual perception….please.

So what. BMW’s sometimes look like Toyota’s to me.

One of the features I like from volvo s40, as my brother has, is that it payed attention to road safety. It’s maintenance was never his problem. Replacements on volvo s40 parts is also easy to find…
