Spied: 2008 Volvo V70’s S80 interior

09/25/2006, 7:54 AM

By admin

When we brought you the first spy photos of the next-generation Volvo V70/XC70 earlier this month, it was clear the vehicle would take some inspiration from the recently introduced 2007 S80. Now, a new spy photo shows the wagon’s interior will be almost to that of the S80. This apparent alignment of the V70 and S80 lines comes as a surprise, since the V70 is typically thought of as a wagon version of the S60, not the larger S80. The implications of this discovery are unclear, but it seems to add credibility to rumors about the demise or re-positioning of the S60.

I LOVE it. Just as Z_G said it’s clean, elegant and simple. IMO that is how a luxury vehicle interior should look, not with 3 trillion buttons everywhere, not with iDrive or meDrive or anyonebutyouDrive. It should make you feel comfortable and have that open feeling.

Kill the S60. Too much competitions at that size and price point. Volvo would never be able to compete.

I don’t get the attraction to Volvo vehicles. Are more boring vehicles built than these?!
