Spied again: 2007 BMW X5

06/05/2006, 6:10 AM

By admin

Following some great shots of the 2007 BMW X5 in early May, spy photographers have again caught the new SUV in testing. This time, the headlights are no longer disguised, and there’s a photo from virtually every angle. It’s still not clear what’s going on with the tail of the car, however the new taillights appear to wrap around more than they do on the current model. [Full gallery here.]

Wow this looks practically the same as the previous X5.

I like the way BMW takes the badge off the hood of the car, like the badge is the only thing that makes the car recognizable.

The turn signals on the side view mirrors are WAY too big. Hope they change that on the final version.

Oh no! They are messing up a really nice car! What’s up with that grille and with the headlights? What’s up with black plastic bumper (X3 style) and why does it look like a Trailblazer from the profile?

Guys. These are spy pictures of a dirty, probably camo-ed SUV. You may want to wait until it comes out before the “It looks like a) camry b) trailblazer c) chevy malibu”

Af – the profile is what it is, it ain’t gonna look different without the camo.

So is there a different between the current X5 and this supposed “new” version? It looks EXACTLY the same. I like how Mercedes re-vamped the ML SUVs, so far I dont see what BMW is doing to change their dated SUV.

ugh… it looks better, but not enough change from the current X5… which I think is THE ugliest SUV on the market! Now it does kind of look more like the X3

You’re right. We should be able to judge the design worthiness of a spy shot taken through a telephoto lens at 50 meters on a fake-bodied car. I was missing a golden opportunity to criticize. Thanks for setting me straight.

Not just boring. Kak boring.

Hmmm, come to think of it, why waste precious vocabulary on a piece of trash like this…

One word will do:

What’s the difference between a porcupine and BMW?
A porcupine has the pricks on the outside.

Thanks Al Bundy, but you’er officially an unintelligent, stereotyping asshole for that comment.
