Spied: Facelifted 2007 Cadillac STS

07/04/2006, 9:50 AM

By admin

The spies at Automedia snapped several new shots of the facelifted 2007 Cadillac STS sedan. Like the 2007 Cadillac CTS, the updated STS gets a new, Escalade-style grille. The tweaked STS will also get “euro-style” taillights. While we’ve seen shots of this car before, the new photo set provides a clearer look at exactly what will be in showrooms this fall. I guess Caddy hasn’t gotten the “Clear Tailights are SO over” memo…

Funny I would otherwise have considered this car, but my diet does not include RICE.

So when will they finally fall out of love with the 1980’s boxy Volvo shapes and create some innovative and stylish cars like Audi etc.??

I will admit the Interior of the upcoming new CTS(not this STS) is a drastic change and a good one, even if it looks identical to a G35…

This could have been a fantastic car if they took styling cues from the Sixteen concept, but this car is too conservative and to cheap. Unfortunately this id typical GM thinking and something they must banish if they want to survive.

I’ll let my grandpa know about this. he has a 2001 Seville that has about 10 miles on it right now so he’s ready to trade. He’ll be the hit of the Retirment community!

What is so Euro about the tail lights? Is there a European car that has clear lenses out of the factory? The only ones that come to mind are Japanese.

the exterior looks nearly identical to the current model. the interior is pretty nice.

They’re called Euro taillights because the European-market STS has always had them.

I, personally, think they look goofy. Keep the red.

The cadillac look is maturing nicely. The ultra sharp edges of the CTS and XLR looked cheap, almost DIY bodykit-like, this is much better

Yeah, the taillights look like dog ****. Re-arrange the LED’s into a cooler pattern or something, but dont give us that Euro crap.
