Interesting that the next V70 seems to share the slightly larger general dimensions of the S80.. another hint that the S60 will likely disappear or become something else altogether (hopefully a CLS-like 4-door coupe!).

Out of creative gas? Have you seen old Volvos? Does a picture of a brick come to mind? By your logic, they’ve been out of creative gas ever since they departed from those old rounded Volvos in the 60s (or whenver it was). I disagree though. I think this looks good, as do all the new Volvos. To me, the new ones look like a sort of mix between their old style and what BMW would’ve evolved into without Chris Bangle. Simple, understated, yet handsome and strong looking.

DvidO is close.. It looks like a V50 because Volvo is out of creative gas.

If your comments enclude “yawn,” then Volvo has done it right! Volvo has always been about safety first. Furthermore, I feel that Volvo is the only one of the Ford PAG that has had any success.

V70 wagon has had those red lights shooting up the sides of the glass for years. It is a good case of function over form in that they look silly but work well. I agree with Lucifer that this is an undisguised V70. Side profile looks good!

i don’t think the taillight are hidden under “some sort of camoflauge”…i think this is the final un disgused V70

Why does almost every manufacturer nowadays seem to want to ruin the whole back-end with ugly red lights? The vehicle’s fine, but the brake light going up the column there is just too much, IMHO. It’s supposed to be a car, not a christmas tree.
