This is a stupid idea even if GM has nothing to do with it. Of course people will buy it because people are also stupid; but super fast trucks are just a small niche market and they really aren’t super fast to begin with. I’ve been in a RAM SRT-10 and It’s got balls but since it’s so heavy it doesn’t count for a lot. Drive a truck, drive a sports car, don’t drive a sports-truck.

Yeah it wouldn’t be that hard for GM to make it’s own Silverado SS again 09CTS-V, However Chevy isn’t just throwing SS emblems on all Chevy’s again, like they did with the last gen Malibu, and while the last gen Silverado SS did have the LS2 dropped in it, GM has changed their philosophy on the SS trim and is saving it more for their truly performance vehicles (although you can rip on the Cobalt SS the new turbo is going to be quicker than alot of other cars out there and have the handling to do it on the track too), so for them to outsource this to Roush, who alone is very well known and respected among performance enthusiasts out there I don’t see anything really wrong with this. Plus for truck enthusiasts (I’m actually not one of them) that 6.0L V8 Vortech is going to be a dream to work with.
