Other sites on the Web are identifying the vehicle with the Hoffmeister kink as the Hyundai Genesis.. and the larger vehicle with the more rounded roofline as a future Hyundai Equus replacement.

So which is it?

They have a loooong way to go before they can even *think* about competing with Audi, let alone BMW.

Looks very cheap for a couple of reasons.

-Low belt line, especially the front hood.
-Very flat looking roof line, especially compared to the window sills.
-Long overhang, without being elegant. The roofline doesn’t cleanly slope into the back, and neither does the front end, rendering the fanatical three box design.
-The wheels are too small and the proportions out of shape, giving the impression of a tall, awkward design.

They have a long ways to come people… I’m sure they’ll climb to the top by copying designs, and then making their own design language much like Hyundai, Toyota and Honda have done, but they still have a ways to climb…

Well considering their interior breaks down just as fast as an Audi A6 and the 5 series, they really should try to compete.

Hmmm, I thought the title of this thread referred to the actual replacement of the company’s chairman, not the car. Either way, nothing’s changed in terms of my interest. We’ll see in 2020.

I recall in my younger years during trip to So. Asia some scantly dress girls were screaming SsangYong and I am sure they were not trying to sell a car. Or may be I misinterpreted.
