The Chinese-controlled Korean automaker SsangYong has unveiled its Wz Concept. Designed under the concept of “Dynamic, Advanced, Bold,” SsangYong says the Wz stands for “World Class, World Standard, World Premium Zenith,” and represents the future direction of the automaker — a diversion from the company’s normal SUV lineup.
The Wz Concept is powered by a twin-turbo 3.6L V6 that outputs 360 horsepower. Power is sent to all four wheels — which wear 245/40R20 size rubber — via a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The concept also features a Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Electronic self-leveling Air Suspension (EAS), Electric Parking Brake (EPB), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Around Monitoring System (AMS) — similar to the system on the Infiniti EX.

SsangYong hopes to have a version of the Wz Concept in production by 2011.
