i am definately lookin at it BUT i dont want to limit myself to just 1 choice because there are a lot of imported 2008 models worthy of at least test driving, even the upcoming is-f and g35 sedan, there is no way i can ignore those fine pieces of machinery.

CTS
Ok if you are stating your opinion then there is no need to back it up. I do more than make an attempt I prove.
I personally think that the Japanese have equal interiors to the Germans. The Japanese materials are top notch. The BMW's seats are hard as hell and half the time they have Leatherette in them. If Im paying 40 plus for a 3 series I expect real leather and a better designed, more inviting interior. I find the 3 series interior to be boring but functional but hey its a BMW
I would recommend that you trade in your CTS for the new one. From the pics I've seen it looks as if the interior is a HUGE upgrade from the last model. If you own the current one its an upgrade for you

Am I the only one who thinks tripleonefluffer's last comment made no sense?

1115, my thoughts and beliefs, which are shared by few in this world, helped write that book that you keep mentioning that you purchased, from which you tried to benefit. I am at another level intellectually than you and the other monkeys here. Thanks for the compliment. People like you have been followers in life, I have been a leader. As exemplified here, this is FACT.

Peasant, I am happy to say I am quite immature ... but that is only the yin to the intelligence, yang. I keep proving to you month after month for many months now that you are an idiot, and your baseless, nonsensical rubbish above pretending to explain truth is all a farce. I have been correct about EVERYTHING I have discussed and will CONTINUE to be correct .... see, the difference between monkeys like you and 1115, and people like me (above and beyond our brain power) is that if I don't know something, I shut my trap and don't yap for the sake of yapping. But you primates will one day adapt and understand that my username here applies, in definition, far more to you than to me.

Deanster, this site is filled with less-than-leader personalities. But the world needs all levels of hierarchy to run efficiently. I will continue to look down on these morons as long as they continue to act the way they do.

I'd say Impulsive is spot on, as usual, with regards to his essay on the economic impact of the devaluation of the US dollar.

Sure, he doles out insults to half the board. That's because the board is populated by fucking morons, as evidenced by Piablo et al. He calls Piablo a monkey? Not scathing enough. Listen to Impulsive, he's one of the few voices of reason on this board.

2 million of GM's OLD trucks had some minor problems lol stop using that pathetic excuse for a recall.

You are very right that this is a car forum and none of the personal stuff matter. But look who is making it personal by talking about jackjim and impulsive. Your type of people (stupid ones) turn to insults (lame ones at that) when they have nothing else to say which is what you are doing right now. How about you go back to focusing on defending yourself from all the evidence me and others have provided or just SHUT UP. And notice how this article is about the Canadian dollar and its effect on car prices and you somehow turned it into an attack on domestic automakers.

Impulsive is just that, Impulsive. He is the guy who comes online professing how smart he is. He makes himself feel better by doing that due to his lack of success in his real life. He tries to sell it by using big words that he looked up while online. Since the internet is anonymous and no one can disprove it he is in the clear. It’s sad and obvious though
Notice you don’t know a thing about my life. It’s not necessary in a car forum. What I drive, where I work, where I live, what shampoo I use are not important. What is important is the topic of the particular thread and which cars have the highest resale value and are the most reliable. I’ll give you a hint, its not GM Ford or Chrysler
I have to go to Canada this year I love it there and engine sludge please lol stop using that pathetic excuse for a recall

Impulsive, whatever intelligence you do have, it's completely overshadowed by your immaturity. Your posts sound like Cobra Commander is bitching me out. One day you just might rule your own little world... and EVERYONE will come to know you as the great genius you are. But until you stop idolizing all of your cartoon baddies, most will simply thank God their only encounters with you have been over the internet.

Ok...and Radar magazine isn't written by someone who was mad that a Buick beat the Japanese in a quality study. Yahoo is much more reputable than Radar, and so is JD Power. Well Toyota has 3.5 million cars in the shop for sludge issues so they have just A BIT more cars in repair shops than GM does. And I don't need to "keep trying", I have already succeeded so you can stop using that pathetic line.

Best part of your last post: That you finally DID NOT talk about yourself and how you think I am trying to convince YOU, finally you realized that I am not and thank God for that.

Yea the same Honda for ten years lol Keep trying. Even if i did have a 10 year old Honda its more reliable than anything GM Ford Chrysler made then or now
Its still some website written by someone who is like you and has pity for Gm like you. It says that Honda and Toyota are more reliabble and you should buy what you want
Sure domestics are cheaper to fix but... if they are not as reliable they will be in the shop more The article makes no sense just like your argument. If you want GM BUY ONE !
I know you searched long and hard for that but once again ..............2022 bitch

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO EXPLAIN TO YOU THAT I DON'T CARE ABOUT CONVINCING YOU, WHAT DO I HAVE TO SAY FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THAT I DON'T CARE IF YOU DIE IN YOUR HONDA?? There isn't a website I can cite, you are just gonna have to take my word for it - I AM NOT TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU!!! Purchased imports for the last 10 years? More like you have driven the same, very "exciting" Honda for the last ten years.

And I am glad you called my article bullshit, it just shows you have nothing of substance to say against it. What is more reliable, a big corporation like Yahoo! or...Radar magazine which I had NEVER heard of until you posted it on here.

And there's difference between a typo and an error in reasoning, such as saying it's a FACT that something will happen in the future, or that a certain car is better than another.

Commodore,
I must say you have convinced me. I'm going to take your yahoos lol website information and buy a GM tomorrow. Even though Honda and Toyota are more reliable and I should choose the car I actually want Ill do what the link says. Since the article is pitying GM I will go to the Saturn dealer and buy the car that I rented in April, The Aura. Even though it had a ton of bricks in the trunk and didn't drive better than a decade old old Honda let alone a 3 year old Acura, I'm going to buy one. Not only am I supporting America but I'm making people like you happy also. Since you like giving advice so much I'm going to marry an overweight lazy American woman instead of a beautiful in shape foreign woman because its helping the American economy.
Im being sarcastic lol. Every time I read your articles its a waste of time. See ya in 2022. If you like GM consider or buy one You have not a bit of evidence that will sway myself or a consumer who has purchased imports over the last 10 years. Keep trying though

The problem.. is that people like you continue to bash GM unfairly no matter what - even if we are not talking about GM you seem to have this agenda (God knows why) to put down GM even in posts talking about Hyundai or Chrysler or something. I don't get why you do it, but I will keep calling you out until you either go spew your sht somewhere else on the web or you stop doing it here on LLN.

And good job on ignoring everything in my last post (probably because you couldn't defend yourself again). But I do have a present for you in the SATURN VUE RED/GREEN LINE THREAD so GO check it out

1115, while you went to school to learn insults, I learned something worthwhile. And as a result, not only am I wealthier person intellectually, I am wealthier financially.

Hey, maybe you can get on that show "Yo Mama", if it still continues ... I hear you can make $1000 cash money. Maybe your education wasn't all for naught.

LOL angry? You are scrambling for things to say now so i guess you are repeating old sht. For the third time, I posted this in 2 other threads and I will post it here AGAIN:
"1. My goal is NOT to try to convince you to buy American. You are an idiot and you never will even begin to consider our automakers even if they built the perfect car." In other words, you specifically don't matter. Next, I am not angry at anyone - I am quite happy actually with life, with how this debate is [still?] going, etc.

This is the smartest thing you said:
"Once reliability and resale isn’t a factor you can start to add other factors such as preference, PRICE, looks, performance etc" and is it one of the main points of my Jap vs American argument. I have shown that Toyota's quality has been decreasing enough and GM's has been increasing enough for the past few years that TODAY GM and Toyonda are virtually equal in reliability and resale (well, for resale GM's trucks and SUVs are better than toyondas but Toyonda's cars are still better) so at this point, consumers should start looking at other factors such as Price, looks, preformance, and from there they can choose which car they prefer instead of choosing based on badge. I like what this article says about this subjectL http://biz.yahoo.com/fool/070921/119040071437.html?.v=2
QUOTE FROM THE ARTICLE
"General Motors (NYSE: GM - News), for instance, has made huge strides in recent years, and although the company's lineup is still a mixed bag, its best cars are worthy of any buyer's consideration."

I’m not going through this with you Commodore. You are angry that you couldn’t convince me to consider American cars GM specifically. “Toyonda is the greatest thing ever, no one makes better autos than them and everyone else is inferior" Lol. When have I ever said that? I don't use the term Toyonda only patriotic delusional import haters such as you use that term. You are so mad you are making things up now. If you believe in what you say buy a GM and stop pretending. Your anger should be aimed towards Gm not me
I said they are better and more reliable and have higher resale than domestics. That’s it. See ya in 2022
CTS,
The story as it relates to BMW & Mercedes Benz and Toyota Lexus & Honda Acura goes like this. Unlike GM Ford & Chrysler they all have great track records. The Germans have more prestige than the Japanese. Once reliability and resale isn’t a factor you can start to add other factors such as preference, PRICE, looks, performance etc. I think that BMW's and MB’s are overpriced. They have decent starting prices but one a cold weather package, navi etc are added the price is through the roof. MB had issues with quality (the first ML was horrible) but I think that was due to merging with Chrysler. BMW has had some problems (2002-2003) but they were electrical and they had to due with i-Drive and nothing with the engine or safety. The Japanese are equal to the Germans in quality but performance is another subject. As far as performance Lexus has RWD models and Acura has front drive and SH-AWD instead. Rear drive is more of a hassle in an area with bad weather like snow rain etc, front drive is ok but SH AWD is a smarter option. If you are talking speed the average person isn’t driving their car at 100mph everyday. I’m sure you and Commodore have some wild made up stories that would suggest otherwise but I know better. The local highways are not the Autobahn so that argument means nothing to me.

"jacktheturkey", please correct your grammar before accusing me of being anyone's schoolmate, let alone 1115's. I have been bang on in telling you monkeys that the dollar would drop below .80 USDX long ago, and once it did, it would get ugly. This is just the beginning of the ugliness. Gold will easily break $1000 on its way to several thousand.

This is all FACT. Your substandard brain power may have trouble interpreting any of this info, much like Piablo's primitive brain (as exemplified by his verbal excretion above), but you will look back in due time and recall this set of posts and think how stupid any of you were in bothering to quibble with me.

Oh, one last thing ... more FACT ... that is one shitty interior for a $70k car. Sorry, truly the last thing ... Piablo is a peasant ... I am genius in your company, you worthless piece of feces. But tell me again how this is all temporary, you stupid good-for-nothing primate.

You are EXACTLY like GM SALES. He goes like "GM is awesome, no one can match the superiority of GM and Asia can only wish to be like GM" and you go "Toyonda is the greatest thing ever, no one makes better autos than them and everyone else is inferior". The only difference between you two is that he worships GM and you worship Toyonda. Both of you make empty, mindless claims about whichever side you support. Both of you are ignorant and biased towards either GM or Toyonda.
1115, you looooooove KBB. You spend most of your time on it, so you must know that german cars such as the BMW 5 series achieve very good resale and other ratings on KBB. And I, as a BMW owner, can tell you that the only thing better than my car's quality and resale, is its fun-to-drive factor.
