Following the launch of the street version of the Subaru BRZ, Subaru has given fans a taste of the BRZ GT300 has been given the promotional video treatment ahead of its race debut next year.
The video opens with a garage door revealing the rear of the race car with the words “Proud of Boxer” emblazoned across the back of the vehicle. This theme is the repeatedly played upon throughout the clip. The clip features numerous close-up shots of the rear and front hood of the vehicle where the same words also feature.

Somewhat strangely, despite the repeated references to “Proud of Boxer,” the audience isn’t treated to a glimpse under the hood of the race modified boxer engine itself. It could be either that Subaru does not want to give the game away to the competition, or that the race-ready engine is still to be completed.
The end of the 2011 SuperGT series saw the retirement of the Subaru works Legacy. All eyes will be on the start of the 2012 series, as fans line up to watch its replacement, with its wild bodywork and side-exit exhausts light up the track.
