Gasoline hybrids are faddish expensive toys. E85 is a midwestern farmer's wet dream but a drop in the fuel bucket bust for the rest of the country. Biodiesel and diesel hybrids that get in excess of 100 mpg are the true bridge fuel and current technology to future energy sources (think fusion).... YES! Bring on the diesels! Also to the torque comment, their 2.5L turboed gasoline engine gets 250 Ft-lbs of torque already.
