Please, please bring these, and the Outback, and all Subarus with diesels to the US. I read that the Legacy Outback with this diesel gets around 50 mpg on the highway. We get 26 with our regular gas version so unless diesel spiked up to $7 a gallon, these would sell as fast as they could make 'em. Even with the $2000 added fee for the diesel upgrade. I agree! Too bad you still have to book a plane ticket to drive most of them.
